Political Video Smackdown: “Hillary 1984”

Even though the Democratic Primary isn’t until January 14, 2008, someone hasn’t wasted any time creating an attack ad based on the now infamous “1984” commercial. Instead of Big Brother, it’s New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, whose image is defiantly shattered by the same blond female athlete — except she’s got a 2007 update: an iPod & a logo on her shirt that is later identified as the one for BarackObama.com

The tagline for the attack: “On Jan. 14, the Democratic primary will begin. And you’ll see why 2008 won’t be like 1984.”

An updated Apple symbol — transformed into an O — is followed by the dramatically emerging logo: BarackObama.com.

Obama’s campaign says it had nothing to do with the video.
